I arrived last night around 9:30pm California time which would be 12:30am eastern time.  The 5 hours flight actually went kind of fast.  I felt really good when I got off the plane.  I guess the excitement of being in CA for the first time and for a good reason "BREEDERS CUP".  The hotel I am staying at is absolutely beautiful and the room is amazing.  I got a good night sleep and woke up around 6:30am ready to go.  Went to the race track to see what was going on.(A LOT) People were everywhere watching the horses train, having breakfast track side, picking up there Breeders Cup tickets and goody bags and getting interviewed.  When I walked in I ran into Mike Smith who I think was getting interviewed and he took a few seconds to say Hello to me.(I've known Mike a long time and I was really happy to see him and wished him luck on Zenyatta).  I then saw Jerry Bailey(retired Hall of Fame Jockey) I was almost star struck for a second(too funny, I also know Jerry but to be in his presence is kind of special because of all he has accomplished in horse racing.)  He asked me a couple of questions and then wished me luck in the BC Marathon.  I then ran into my friend Brian Koriner(trainer at Santa Anita).  The track was absolutely beautiful to take in.  The mountains in the background were hidden behind a light fog that hung across them.  My boyfriend Rich Averill is with me and knows a lot of people as well and has introduced me to trainers that I hadn't known but would like to ride for.(today I met Chad Brown but I have also met Wesley Ward and Larry Rivelli thru Rich)  He is a strong support system for me and my career.  After taking in the scenes at the track I needed to take some personal time so I went for a manicure and pedicure.  Ahhhh so relaxing.  After that I laid by the pool to get some R&R.  I am now getting ready for the Grey Goose party that is put on for the Breeders Cup.  Don't worry I don't drink(only water) and will be home early so as to have a  good nights sleep and be fresh and ready for my big race tomorrow.  See you at the races!
