So many things go on daily at the race track. Things are always changing. Its like being on a roller coaster ride - sometimes your up and sometimes your down. Learning how to take it all in stride is a constant.
At Oaklawn Park I started riding for trainer Ingrid Mason. We got lucky right off the bat when I won with the first horse I rode for her. We won a total of 5 races at Oaklawn. Now back in Chicago I have continued to work horses for her in preparation for the Arlington Park meet. With the meet not starting until May 3 Ingrid entered me on a horse(Razzo Succo) at Indiana Downs to be run on April 23. (When the horses are fit and ready to run you have to find races at other tracks, even if its in a different state.) My agent Jay Fedor drove me the 3 1/2 trip to get another WIN for her. With only 4 hours of sleep I got up early to work two horses at Arlington Park. Today I picked up a horse to ride in the last race at Hawthorne for trainer Richard Scherer. I love my career and when you win it gives so much energy to keep going and work harder to find more of those winning horses to ride.
