Happy Mothers Day!
The most amazing blessing in my life! |
|
I talk about how the strong head winds and rain felt in the post parade and how it could of gave my horse the advantage when he made the lead early on. Usually its hard for horses to close under these kind of conditions but not in this race.

I had one worker scheduled this morning at 9am but I had to cancel it because my daughter was running a fever all night. I get stressed when I have to disrupt a trainers schedule. But my daughters health and well being come first. My agent called the trainer and let her know so that she could get someone else to work her horse.

Morning workouts can get a little crazy sometimes. This one particular morning I was supposed to work a filly a half a mile but she had other plans for me. Listen to what she did to show me that she was not going to do what I wanted. You may have reigns in your hand and think your in control of a 1200lb plus horse, but they do have a mind of there own and if they decide they are not going to do something HANG ON because your in for a wild ride.

Cloudy's KnightOne of the best horses I have ever ridden. He brought so much excitement to my racing career. Winning in KY, FL and Canada. He also brought me to the 2009 Breeders Cup to only get beat a nose for the win.
This video is the life of Cloudy's Knight. It is such an amazing story. |

2009 Leading Rider Colonial DownsWhat an exciting moment this was. I was leading the standing with 2 weeks left of the meet and I got a 5 day riding suspension. When my days were up I was now 3rd leading rider and 3 wins behind with only 5 days left to go. It was frustrating because I felt I didn't deserve the days but now I had to prove that I was going to get my title back. It came down to the last day. (We were tied.) I ended up winning two that day to recapture the title for the second year in a row.
